About the Resort
Courchevel is a typical ski resort offering all the best of the Alps. Tiny churches, huge slopes, picturesque chalets, welcoming restaurants,… all creating an amazing contrast between tradition and modern!

Traditional and charming Courchevel is to be found in St Bon and Le Praz. Courchevel 1550is the ideal spot for families, lively Courchevel 1650 appeals to young while Courchevel 1850 is the epitome of five-star luxury and elegance. Such diversity! A resort for all tastes!

Courchevel is a resort that looks to the future
Although the resort of Courchevel already enjoys international renown, it does not plan to rest on its laurels and is working on numerous architectural, promotional and property projects, as well as on a fresh events policy.

The ski area : a key asset
Today, Courchevel owes a large proportion of its world renown to its ski area, the 3 Valleys. With 600 kilometres of ski-runs and nearly 2,000m of vertical drop (between an altitude of 1300 and 3230 metres) the sky is almost literally the limit for snowboarders and skiers. What is so special about the Courchevel ski area is its geographical location; it is set in amongst the trees of the forest, ensuring that visitors enjoy a totally relaxing break thanks to both the setting and the quality of skiing.

The 3 Valleys: the summits of quality
Wherever you turn, the 3 Valleys ski area offers both exceptional skiing and outstanding panoramic views. You can even cross the Three Valleys and reach the Cime du Carron at Val Thorens in less than two hours, from Courchevel. With the ongoing development of the ski-lifts, which are permanently being made faster and safer, the emphasis is placed heavily on the pleasure of skiing.

And above all, there are no more lift queues. You can reach the summits quickly and without requiring a high skiing level. Equipped with your ski map and ski-pass, you are ready to discover a few of the Three Valleys’ 335 downhill runs including 48 greens, 138 blues, 119 reds and 33 blacks.

Off-piste enthusiasts or those seeking a few thrills and spills are also more than catered for with the area’s 10,000 hectares of off-piste skiing and gullies.

Courchevel: “The pleasure of skiing”
Ever since the Forties, the resort has had just one credo, inspired by Emile Allais, a former world ski champion and director of the resort for many years: “Skiing is a leisure activity and must remain a pleasure”.
