Eat Val D'Isere

A Michelin star for the "Barmes de l’ Ours"
Opened in December 2003, this establishment is without a doubt one of the finest hotels in the Alps.
Gastronomy and luxury go hand in hand, and Alain Lamaison added that extra touch of culinary class. Master Chef of French cuisine with two Michelin stars to his credit, and proud holder of the “Best Chef in Corsica” title, during his second season in Val d’Isere he did it again, obtaining that coveted star for the “Table de l’Ours” gastronomic restaurant.

The star that propelled Val d’Isere into the exclusive circle of resorts recognized by the famous red guide.

L’Atelier d’Edmond
L’Atelier d’Edmond is a gourmet restaurant to be found in the Fornet village.
Edmond was the grandfather of owner Jacques Leprivey. He was Val d’Isere’s first ski patroller but also Mr “DIY”, a genius in the domain of repairs, invention and creation. His workshop was full of tools, which are now dislayed in one of the theme dining areas - the “workshop”. A second area represents a mountain refuge and a third is organised around an immense fireplace.

Meticulous service, an original menu, non smoking areas, a shuttle service for guests, a “knick knack” corner where local craftsmen display original creations… these are just a few of the characteristics which make this new restaurant worthy of recommendation.

Menu : £51.
Address : Le Fornet, 73150 Val-d'Isere Savoie

Pier Paul Jack
An original catering and interior decoration concept to be found in the “Aigle des Neiges” hotel, in the village centre. Pier is the hotel restaurant.

Le Canyon
From the breakfast « all can you eat buffet” to the late dinner (8am-to midnight, 7days per week) and the hot wine pancakes or home made tart, Le Canyon is an unavoidable stop in the heart of the Station.
Where the atmosphere and the user friendly seenery, you can taste all the “ savoyardes”specialities like raclette, tartiflette, and cheese fondue...

But also, the snales tarte fine with ceps, the crusty duck with ceps, the meat tartar, the grilled meat, and also a small italian wink with the pizzas and pasta.

For the end of your dinner, just ask for cigar cave and brandy

La Grande Ourse
" La Grande Ourse" is the place where you’ll encounter the fashionable Val d’Isere enthousiasts for a good lunch on the terrace in the sunshine or inside close to the fireplace.

Head Chef, Philippe Debise. His cuisine is an amazing gastronomic journey, a "melange" of the best classic French dishes with inspirations from around the World.

For lunch, enjoy the incredible "dish of the day" Le Schuss whilst taking in the sunshine on our terrasse overlooking the slopes.
For dinner, you can enjoy an excellant set menu or try the incredible A la Carte Menu in our cosy restaurant complete with alpine ambience and a traditional open fireplace.

Upon request, our Chef and his team will be delighted to prepare some of his speciliaties such as : Farmhouse stuffed Chicken baked in a Brioche, served with a fondant of fresh vegetables, or alternatively, the slow roasted Leg of Lamb in its own juices cooked in a Rock Salt Crust.
