FANTASTIC SKIING IN A UNIQUE SITE - 90 kilometres of ski
runs, 37 ski lifts
Around Mont Lachat you will find 90 kilometres of downhill ski runs,
serviced by 37 ski lifts. This fully linked ski area is spread out
between 1000 and 2100 metres of altitude, starting from Grand-Bornand
Village or Grand-Bornand
Chinaillon.
Fantastic skiing in wonderful scenery between forests
of epicea firs and small mountain granaries, offering ski-lovers both
the Joyere sector, ideal for beginners, the open spaces of Maroly and
the more difficult descents of the Lachat.
GREAT SKIING IN FULL VIEW OF THE ARAVIS RANGE
Thanks to the nearness of the Aravis range, which catches passing cloud
formations, snowfalls are particularly abundant
in this region, while the North/South orientation of the ski area
also provides high sunshine hours.
Its real picture
postcard scenery, Le Grand-Bornand ski area, with its chalets and
small mountain restaurants
.
From the famously steep black run of Lachat
to the delightful downhill runs of the Col des Annes, not forgetting
such highlights as the slopes of La Floria, Outalays and La Tolar:
all skiers, whatever their level will be enchanted.
AMONG THE IMPORTANT ONES !
43 ski runs: 3 black, 14 red, 16 blue, 10 green
90 km of slopes on 360 hectares, a snowpark, 3 competition areas
and 3 beginner areas
37 ski lifts: 2 cable cars, 13 chair lifts and 22drag
lifts
Artificial snow on 60 hectares (18 km)
Hourly flow: 39 700 skiers/hour
ENJOY WHOLE SKI RUNS OF THE ARAVIS RESORTS
The Aravis ski pass, valid on Le Grand-Bornand, La Clusaz, Saint-Jean-de-Sixt and
Manigod offers you 220 km ski runs. Skibus connections, every

Far from the parish church of Our Lady of the Assumption, the outlying
hamlets would have had little religious life had it not been for their
chapels. And taking care of their chapels and keeping them beautiful
is dear to the heart of the people of each hamlet.
Witnesses to our past, the wayside shrines, often created by individuals,
may seem out of date, but express in their own way our local history.
Many
objects to be seen in the chapels or the Church, as well as a very
old Greek cross in stone at Lormay dating from 1500, are classified
historical monuments. You will find a guide to help you visit these
buildings on walks around the resort; it is published by the Bornandin
Heritage Association and is for sale at the Tourist Office and the
Heritage Centre.
