SKI AREAS
Extending over three areas, the Chamonix Mont-Blanc ski lifts can be accessed by ski bus, SNCF train or car (car parks).

CHALLENGING SKIING

LES GRANDS MONTETS (1 235 M – 3 300 M)
Exceptional vertical drops and famous pistes have given the Grands-Montets its reputation as a world-famous ski area, part of which is on a glacier. Internationally renowned thanks to its size and the variety of its ski runs and pistes, which extend over three slopes: the Argentiere glacier, Lognan and la Pendant. The length of the pistes, their vertical drop (max. altitude 3300 m) and the exceptional quality of the snow until May, make it a paradise for skiers and surfers. The return run to Argentiere has been equipped with artificial snow.

New Snowpark opens this winter in the Lognan ski area.

PANORAMIC SKIING

BREVENT/FLEGERE (1 030 M – 2 525 M)
These slopes are one of the most exceptional sites in the Alps. Its sunny exposition, facing the Mont-Blanc range, offers an incredible panoramic view; its pistes are suitable for skiers of all categories and levels of expertise. Accessible via the Chamonix - Plan Praz gondolas or by the Flegere cable cars.
New this winter: 6 man chair lift at the “Cornu”.

BACKCOUNTRY SKIING

LE DOMAINE DE BALME (1 453 M – 2 270 M)
Novices and sportsmen, skiers and snowboarders, here, everyone will find a magnificent playground.Le Domaine de Balme, a vast, sun-soaked resort, offering wide and varied pistes. The gentle slopes of the Charamillon area or the Vallorcine descents, where experts can improve their techniques on longer runs through marvellous pine forests. A gondola lift gives access to this delightful ski area from Vallorcine, close to the Swiss border.
Two access points to the same area: an added extra!

BEGINNERS

LA VORMAINE (1 480 M)
A ski area situated next to the village of Le Tour, very sunny with plenty of snow, for beginners and intermediate skiers. Ideal for children, little ones and an introduction to snow surfing.

LES CHOSALETS(1 230 M)
Vast slope for beginners, ideal for children, situated at the entrance to Argentiere, 500 m from the start of the Lognan cable car.

LE SAVOY(1 049 M – 1 125 M)
Right in the centre of Chamonix, at the foot of le Brevent. Favourite pistes for beginners and especially children, 2 drag lifts and a conveyor belt lift. Artificial snow.

LES PLANARDS(1 062 M – 1 242 M)
In the town centre, this is the largest area for beginners and children.
